The symbol used as the CRS logo is the Penrose Triangle; an "impossible object" optical illusion created by psychiatrist Dr. Lionel Penrose and his son, mathematician and Nobel laureate Sir Roger Penrose. The triangle inspired the work of artist M.C. Escher.
