During the film's production, actors Luke Treadaway and John Macmillan were both appearing in Philip Ridley's stage play "Piranha Heights" at London's Soho Theatre. According to Ridley, Treadaway had to quickly get "in a taxi from the 'Heartless' set to the theatre at 5pm each night" to perform in his play.
