Lecter is enraged by a poorly playing flautist. In Hannibal (2001), it is explained that this flautist was named Benjamin Raspail. In Il silenzio degli innocenti (1991), Benjamin Raspail was the head found in the jar by Clarice and one of Buffalo Bill's first victims.
