Much of the talent on this film went on to work on the Harry Potter films. Stuart Craig was production designer for all the films. John Hurt played Olivander. David Ryall played Elphias Doge in the second-to-last film, and Freddie Jones's son Toby appeared in two of the films as Dobby.
