When Dr. Edgemar meets Quaid, there is a shot where both men stand in the center of the room and only Quaid's reflection is seen in the mirror on the right whereas, as said, they both stand at the same spot. This can be regarded as foreshadowing the fact that the Dr. Edgemar is not on Quaid's side, that he's a traitor.
