Charlie Schlatter allegedly replaced Ben Mendelsohn in the lead male role of Brownie. The 'Wikipedia' website states that Mendelsohn ''was signed to appear opposite'' Kylie Minogue ''but eventually it was decided to go with an imported actor so the film might appeal to an international market.'' Ironically, Minogue and Mendelsohn would later actually be star teamed together in 'Sample People' (2000).
