The pilot of the real Memphis Belle was Robert K Morgan. After reaching the rank of Lt. Col. he led the first B-29 formation over Tokyo. The name of Morgan's B-29 was "Dauntless Dotty". The mission was the first bombing of Tokyo by US bombers since the Doolittle raid of April 1942.
