During the ending where Edward is immolated inside the Wicker Man, Rowan actress Erika-Shaye Gair was very reluctant to carry the burning torch and act the scene of burning her father. According to the director's commentary, the filmmakers lied to her telling her that Edward would find a way to escape in order to get her to do the scene.
