In Blu profondo (1999), the shark facility is called Aquatica. In the sequel, the shark facility is called Akheilos. In Greek mythology, Akheilos (or Acheilus) is the son of Zeus and Lamia. Akheilos offends Aphrodite, boasting that he is more beautiful than she, and is then transformed into a grotesque shark-like creature.
