At the castle, Joyce says "Janice Barker has decided to name her twins Roger and Martin." This could be an in-joke to the main characters in the Lethal Weapon franchise, Roger Murtaugh and Martin Riggs. Additionally, Stuart Wilson, who plays Dr. Hatcher, played the primary antagonist, Jack Travis, in Arma letale 3 (1992).
