The Met event, where the robbery is intended to occur, is an annual gala sponsored and hosted by Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of fashion magazine Vogue, who plays herself in the movie. Anna Wintour was also the inspiration for Miranda Priestly, the boss of Anne Hathaway in Il diavolo veste Prada (2006).
