At the end of the film, Calhoun mentions that he has a job lined up in Santa Clara, but it's pronounced suspiciously like Santa Carla. The job entails "some varmints causing big trouble." When asked to clarify, he says that the varmints are "red eyed demons, six inch claws, bats' wings, and a bad attitude." This is most likely a reference to vampires and the film The Lost Boys.
