One of the patrol boats in Jere's squadron is #42. This is the same number as the one commanded by Robert Montgomery in I sacrificati (1945). In that film, John Wayne played the second in command of the squadron. The words of that title were spoken by Torrey in the scene in which he speaks with Kimmel.
