Charles Herbert, who plays the Delambres' son Philippe in the film, was one of the busier child actors of the late 1950s and early 1960s. He also had prominent roles opposite Cary Grant and Sophia Loren in Un marito per Cinzia (1958), co-starred with Doris Day and David Niven in Non mangiate le margherite (1960), and interacted with witches, goblins and ghouls in William Castle's 13 Ghosts (1960).
