In the supermarket, Irene Reppler is reading the newspaper "The Castle Rock Times". Castle Rock is one of three fictional Maine towns (the others being Derry and Jerusalem's Lot) created by Stephen King which frequently appear in his works. It also happens to be the name of the company with which Frank Darabont made two previous King adaptations: Le ali della libertà (1994) and Il miglio verde (1999).
