When Danny tries to make a toast at the Halloween party, he says, "Here's to another night of sexual perversity in Los Angeles." This is a reference to "Sexual Perversity in Chicago", the 1974 play by David Mamet from which both this film and A proposito della notte scorsa... (1986) were adapted.
