The tag placed on Miette in the submarine reads, "Trouvée Quai West. Nuit de la St Jean." ("Found, West Pier, eve of St. John."). This appears to be a reference to Shakespeare. Saint John's Eve is a nighttime festival celebrated the evening immediately before the Feast Day of Saint John the Baptist. The Feast coincides with the June solstice also referred to as Midsummer. Given that this film revolves in part around dreams, it appears to be a reference to Shakespeare's play, A Midsummer Night's Dream, believed to be produced by The Bard in 1595 (exactly 400 years before the release of this masterpiece).
