(at around 1h 13 mins) Teague reveals to Steve Freeling that the cemetery had moved from Cuesta Verde's 300 acres of terrain "six years ago". Since then Steve tells Dr. Lesh at their university's meeting (at around 43 mins) that Carol Anne is five years old, it implies that Carol Anne's birth turns the reason of the haunted house, after she is the first born in the suburb as Steve revealed to Woman Buyer and her Husband (at around 30 mins) that the Freelings were the first family to move there. This is confirmed in Poltergeist II - L'altra dimensione (1986) when (at around 59 mins) Tangina reveals Diane that the Carol Anne's birth in the Cuesta Verde's family house caused a shock in the spirits of the deceased that were trapped in a limbo between the Earth and Arterlife.
