Pierce Brosnan was offered a part in this movie, but declined due to scheduling conflicts with GoldenEye (1995). He worked with Roger Donaldson on Dante's Peak - La furia della montagna (1997). Andrzej Bartkowiak was the cinematographer for both movies.
