Raiden's temple is painted with various murals which hint at the greater Mortal Kombat lore. These include the Great Kung Lao defeating Shang Tsung in the Mortal Kombat tournament; Goro killing the Great Kung Lao in the subsequent tournament; Argus and Delia putting Taven and Daegon to a long slumber, Shao Kahn poisoning Onaga the Dragon King, and Bi-Han killing Hanzo Hasashi.
