During the effort to find a berth on the Orient Express, attendant Pierre Paul Michel stated that passengers had already booked all first & second class berths or seats, respectively. Second class passengers had a separate car from the first class passengers. The train pulled only four cars: a baggage, sleeping, dining, and bar car. In transit and after the train is forced to stop, the film does not show any second class passengers nor is any reference ever made to them. (This was also the case in the 1974 film of the same name, which starred Albert Finney.)
