This is one of the last films where portrayals of modern military personnel do not use a modified 'weakside pass through' sling to carry their weapons. The technique was released only a year earlier at Fort Bragg after the Oct 3, 1993 Operation Gothic Serpent "Blackhawk Down" event. Virtually all movies with modern themes and competent advisors use that technique after this film.
