This not the first time Christopher McQuarrie's main villain was known by an alias. In I soliti sospetti (1995), it is revealed that the main antagonist, Keyser Soze, was actually Verbal Kint the whole time. In this film - it is August Walker who is unveiled to be the nefarious John Lark. The former is played by Lex Luthor actor, Kevin Spacey. While the latter is played by Superman himself, Henry Cavill. Though the two did not appear in the same Superman film.
