After the murder in the dining car, the suspects have two faces when they are viewed through the glass from the refraction. When Gerhard (Willem Dafoe) is caught in a lie during his questioning, he is given an additional face. When Miss Mary Debenham lies to Poirot, her face is shot to give it an asymmetrical look, while Poirot's is shot symmetrically.
