Lead Actress, Anushka Sharma and Producer, Kiran Rao were initially going to choreograph the hook step for the song, Tharki Chokro. But as they were not able to choreograph any and gave up. Raju Hirani exercised his creative freedom and himself came up with the hook step. Choreographer, Ganesh Acharya loved the move and decided that he would keep this in the song. Hirani told him to to direct the other moves but still asked him whether the hook step created by him, was actually good or not. Acharya said that it was perfect and he should not worry about it. It gave that Rajasthani feel to it and he went ahead with the creation.
