For the first time, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Toby Jones appear in the same film since their separate portrayals of Truman Capote. The movies, dealing with the identical subject matter and an iconic character were released one year apart from each other. Both Capote (2005) and Infamous (2006) were well-received critically despite the proximity of their release dates.
