In an interview in the Sept. 14, 2009 issue of GQ, Joel Coen said, laughing, 'All we've been doing for the last twenty-five years is remaking Il mago di Oz (1939). It's true. Sometimes consciously, and sometimes we don't realize until after we've made the movie. Consciously in Fratello, dove sei? (2000). Oz is the only film we just rip off right and left.'
