Due to his commitments to this film and Joker - Wild Card (2015), Jason Statham couldn't accept the lead antagonist role of Owen Shaw in Fast & Furious 6 (2013). He would instead play Deckard Shaw, the older brother of Owen Shaw, in Fast & Furious 7 (2015).
