This marks the second time that William Shatner, best known for Star Trek, has shared a role with an actor from the Star Wars franchise. Harvey Dent was played by Billy Dee Williams in 1989's Batman. Shatner also previously appeared on an episode of The Twilight Zone, as a passenger who sees a monster on the wing of an airplane. In the film, his role was played by John Lithgow, who also voiced Yoda in the NPR adaptations of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
