(at around 1h 50 mins) Logan waking up and finding himself in the children's hideout in North Dakota, and the children cutting his beard is an homage to Mad Max - Oltre la sfera del tuono (1985), which Max, a hero in a post-apocalyptic land, is rescued by a tribe of children, and they cut his hair short.
