Until 2020, Paramount only owned the US rights to the film. Miramax, the international distributor, was owned by Disney at the time of release. Disney sold Miramax in 2010, and for the next 10 years, international rights were held by StudioCanal. Following Paramount's purchase of a minority stake in Miramax from beIN Media Group in 2020, it now holds worldwide rights to the film.
