Scriptwriter Noel Baker was unemployed and broke before he was offered the job of adapting Hard Core Logo as a film screenplay. While writing the screenplay, he lived with his partner, Siobhan, in a dilapidated house with bad flooding and torn-up parquet. According to Baker, his life during the writing and production of Hard Core Logo was quite difficult, as Siobhan had been pregnant, and informed that their unborn baby had a high risk for down's syndrome.
