In the final scene, the setting twin suns of Tatooine are shown in essentially the same alignment as BB-8's body and head. Many fans were disappointed by the final scene taking place on Luke's childhood from Tatooine, due to it being a sad place for Anakin and Luke who buried their respective parents there (Luke his paternal figures uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, and Anakin his biological mother Schmi). While, Leia didn't even knew that house. They argued that Padme's tomb in Naboo would had been a better place, for Rey to bury the sabers. Due to being the birth planet of Luke and Leia's biological mother, and Anakin's wife Padme Amidala. Specially because Mark Hamill mentioning he has never met in real life nor shared screen with his on-screen mother Natalie Portman (who plays Padme), symbolically reuniting the family for the first time. They also argued the planet relates to Rey, due to her being Palpatine's grandchild, and Palpatine being a Naboo native like Padme.
