Neptune Kingdom, the location in the film where Murdoch goes and finds his uncle, was based on Luna Park in Sydney. Evidently the park still exists, but, according to Proyas, it's been run down over the years. Here's hoping Dark City and this commentary helped Luna Park's attendance numbers. Probably not.
