A few Pulp Fiction similarities (which came out a decade later): Not only is a family diner robbed at gunpoint, but Jerry Reed can be seen in the background before the robbery (at the unemployment office) like John Travolta can be seen in the beginning of Pulp Fiction; walking to the bathroom; both would take two viewings to notice. Also, Robin Williams in the passenger seat of a moving car, pointing his gun at a person (Jerry Reed) in the backseat, and being told to use the safety is like Travolta and Marvin.
