Once director Brad Anderson agreed to helm this film, producer Mike Weber brought the project to ShivHans Pictures producing partners Shivani Rawat and Monica Levinson. "I felt Tony's script had drama, mystery, suspense, it's the perfect thriller," said Rawat. "Thrillers today tend to be violent, over-the-top action movies, or else they rely heavily on some kind of technological solution, whereas 'Beirut' is very human."
