Suyane Moreira auditioned for the role of Arclight. She portrays the mermaid Iara in Caminhos do Coração (2007) and Os Mutantes (2008) - in this universe, the title "mutants" were the result of scientific experiments based on alien technology. The X-Men franchise is, of course, of strong influence on those series.
