This was the last Disney animated feature film to contain musical elements, after a decade's worth of Disney animated musicals (the only exception being Bianca e Bernie nella terra dei canguri (1990)), up until La principessa e il ranocchio (2009), due to the rise in popularity of action films and this film, despite being successful in the box-office received negative feedback, Disney stopped releasing musical films for the next eleven years.
