In Prometheus (2012), Dr. Elizabeth Shaw lamented about how she always wanted to be a mother but could never create life because of fertility issues (which is why she was horribly confused when she turned up pregnant after having sex with Charlie, who was infected with the black goo). In a morbid way, she sort of got her wish in this film: in Alien: Covenant - Advent (2017), David explains how he experimented with the black mutagen, infected animals and Shaw's organs (possibly her ovaries) in creating his perfect organism. She thus created life, effectively making her the mother of David's "children", of sorts.
