Robert De Niro, John Cazale, and John Savage have all appeared in the Godfather films. Cazale played Fredo Corleone in the first two films, while De Niro played his father in Il padrino - Parte II (1974). Savage played Andrew Hagen, the son of Tom Hagen, in Il padrino - Parte III (1990). Cazale and Savage's respective on-screen fathers, Marlon Brando and Robert Duvall, appeared together in not only Il padrino (1972), but also another Vietnam-related film: Apocalypse Now (1979). Duvall and Savage were also brothers-in-law.
