In the film's 3D presentation, certain 3D elements appear "over" the film's letterbox bars, with the exception of the scene in which Erin jumps into the portal, which switches to a large-format aspect ratio fills up the whole screen. This effect is retained on the 3D Blu-ray version and is also used for the Blu-ray version of the 2D Extended Cut.
