At 77% fresh, this is the only film in the Ice Age franchise to be certified fresh by Rotten tomatoes, let alone fresh at all, as all four of its sequels are rotten. It was also Blue Sky Studios's only certified fresh film until Ortone e il mondo dei Chi (2008) and Snoopy & Friends - Il film dei Peanuts (2015).
