This is the second Best Picture Oscar winner in which Jack Nicholson appeared. The first was Qualcuno volò sul nido del cuculo (1975), for which he won an Oscar for Best Actor. It's the second time he co-starred with Danny DeVito, who also appeared in Qualcuno volò sul nido del cuculo (1975). Nicholson later appeared in The Departed - Il bene e il male (2006), another Best Picture Oscar winner.
