Phyllis Cloverleaf is depicted as one of the film's minor antagonists. She is a businesswoman who spreads malicious slanders about the "dangerous" pegasi and unicorns in order to sell faulty self-defense gadgets to scared earth ponies. She is less than pleased when her son Sprout copies her methods, but uses them as a stepping stone towards gaining political power.
