A practical zombie horse that Zeus rides through the remains of Las Vegas was devised by Gabriel Bartalos. Makeup head Justin Raleigh reveals that a real horse was transformed using multiple layers: a muscle and bone structure layer and then a pelt layer on top of that. Then, little sinewy bits would be added along with a facepiece that the horse would wear. Raleigh praised the zombie horse's beautiful textures and layers, saying Bartalos and his team, "were a perfect fit to handle it and did a fantastic job putting that horse together. It's really impressive."
