Charlton Heston plays an Englishman in this movie. Previously, Heston had played English characters in both Khartoum (1966) and Il principe e il povero (1977), where Heston had played General Gordon and Henry VIII respectively. In all three movies, Heston played a Britisher who was older than his actual age. Heston has said in an interview that throughout his career he has often portrayed men who were older than he actually was in real life.
