Matthew Lillard was cast as Shaggy Rogers because of his performance in I 13 spettri (2001). There was a Scooby-Doo show called Scooby-Doo e i 13 fantasmi (1985), which had a belated sequel, Scooby-Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost (2019), which had Lillard as Shaggy again.
