When the team come across the "time loop theory" skeletons that Vans character describes, that tried to break through the fence to the safe, the female skeleton has a skeleton key around her neck, clearly the same key as Maria Cruz has around hers in the scene before her death. Adding to the suspicion of this being the case, or at least to create a feeling of it's possible truth by the director. A clear homage to the "time loop theory" and story that Vans character eludes to, other accessories could also be the same as other characters in the movie.
