The Sierra Bonita apartment scenes were shot at the Los Angeles historical landmark called the Snow White Cottages. This consists of eight bungalows. The bungalows were built by The Walt Disney Company in 1931. They were meant for Disney employees to use since the Disney studio, Hyperion, was located nearby at the time.
