The film in 1987 was nominated for one Golden Raspberry Award for Beatrice Straight for Worst Supporting Actress for playing Claire Hastings but lost out on the Razzie to a man, Dom DeLuise, for playing Aunt Kate in 'Haunted Honeymoon' (1986). Straight won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role Oscar (Academy Award) for her role in 'Network' (1976) which had been directed by Sidney Lumet who also was the director of 'Power' (1986).
